Argentine Pac-Man Frog

This web site is devoted to our pet frog. Froggie only eats live prey and human fingers appear to be a delicious treat! He ingests his food and digests it inside his mouth with digestive enzymes, like the ones in your stomach. Froggie is for viewing pleasure only. He enjoys: worms, mice, bullfrogs, crickets, and anything else that moves
(please see feeding note below!).

Am I cute or what?
Joel's Pac-Man Frog as seen on 09-03-1998, a day or two after he came to our shop in Morton, WA.
He doesn't eat gold fish... would you?
We heard that the frog liked gold fish, so we bought a few "feeder fish", they swam around in the tank but the frog didn't budge.
Pretty sick, I know!
Later we tried a little white mouse. It lasted about 2 seconds. I think we need to name the frog JAWS.

Slirp!
Slurping up the tail like a long piece of spaghetti. Slurp!
George get ready to feed the frog!
Oct. 5, 1998 -George gets ready to feed Mr. Mouse to Mr. "Jaws." He looks excited.
Maybe I can hide behind this bush!
Mr. Mouse hides behind some water plants in the frog tank. Will Mr. Frog sniff him out? Do frogs have noses?

Maybe I can hide in the corner!
Mr. Mouse starts to check out his new surroundings.
Yummy, Yummy!
The frog finds the mouse, maybe we should patent our frog as a better mouse trap!
Munch, Munch!
The frog slowly begins to suck the mouse down.

Joel feed the frog a tree frog.
It has been a few months since our frog has eaten, not that we haven't tried, he just hasn't been interested. Today, 04-07-1999, Joel is here to feed the frog... frogs!
Not the tank, anything but the shark tank!
We started with a small tree frog. Oh-No! Not the killer frog tank. Save me!
Nothin' but leg!
Within seconds our frog gobbled up the cute little tree frog. Look close is that a frog leg? He also ate a second slightly larger frog a few minutes later. Two frogs in one sitting!!

Ggraptor sent me a picture of his frog. He writes: "Right now he is the size of a 50 cent piece. Mine does not make a noise yet, but I will probably find out when he/she gets older. I was wondering if you know how to tell the difference between a male and a female pacman frog?"
Good question... any ideas? I'm not looking :)
Mathew writes:
"Male's call (sometimes too often) and will sometimes develop a black "beard". Females grow considerably larger and lack the chin coloration."

Jabba! This fine frog is from Matthew Sebring's really cool frog page. He writes: I am putting together a site devoted to pac-man frogs... feel free to check out my site http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Zoo/6379/ and be sure to sign the guestbook. I am also looking for votes on a new name for my baby frog so be sure to swing by that section.

Feeding Precaution! Please Note:
Lara writes, ...These frogs can definately handle mice as a meal but not as a staple diet! I have seen one too many pac-man's being grotesquely over weight b/c there owner ownly fed them mice. Rodents are very high in fat and I would recommend that you only give your frog mice once in a blue moon as a "treat". My frogs would love for me to give them mice all the time but it is really not that heathly for them. My frogs eat mostly fish (very high in calcium). Nightcrawlers and other invertebrates. You also have to be careful with feeding other frogs to your frog b/c if the frog you are feeding him has some type of "frog disease" there is the possiblity that it can be past on to the pac-man. True your frog can get sick from eating sick mice or sick fish as well but the risk is too high with feeding him other frogs.
Thank Lara your advice will be of great help to all our viewers!

No humans were harmed during the making of this web site. This site is intended for humor and enjoyment only. If you find this site to be disgusting or nasty may I suggest http://www.disney.com/ where the mouse is king and certainly never fed to frogs! If you have a pet frog, or know more about this frog than I do, please feel free to drop me a note and maybe a picture or two.
